Still relishing the Lincoln Center gig earlier this month for Inua Ellams’ epic #RAPparty in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Céline Dion’s iconic “Falling Into You” album.
As someone who usually takes the stage solo, it’s particularly special to share the billing with writers and performers I admire (and have made my work possible). Shoutout to José Olivarez, Sam Cha, Darrel Alejandro Holnes, Sheila Maldonado, Nabila Lovelace, and everyone who rocked me with their poems that night (and have for many years prior).
